Eligibility
- Experiencing current Intimate partner family violence
- Experiencing current gender-based family violence
- Living in Goulburn, Strathbogie or Moira
- Over 17 years of age
- Female or in a same sex relationship
- Willingness to engage with Family Violence Support
The Family Violence Case Management Program provides the following support:
- Risk management by using a MARAM (multi agency risk assessment management tool) with the client
- Regular safety planning
- Education, information and support for those experiencing family violence
- Pathways to recovery
- Access to temporary crisis accommodation if experiencing immediate family violence (subject to limited availability)
- Advocacy
- Safe place to talk
- Referral to services, including counselling, housing, material aid, health, legal and court support
- Goal setting
- Case planning
- Support when making statements to police and applying for applications for IVO's
Please note:
Family Violence support workers are not counsellors or psychologists. We do not provide long-term counselling support.
